Duhallow Trail Cycle Route

One of the best ways to explore the enchanting and tranquil region of Duhallow is to follow the Duhallow Trail Cycle Route. The trail gives a unique and thorough insight into rural life in Duhallow. This is a place of beautiful isolation and small hospitable communities. By following the distinctive Duhallow Trail signposts you can spend some carefree hours enjoying the pleasures of Duhallow life. The Duhallow Trail Cycle Route can be divided into sections over a duration of 3 days and the following are the suggested cycling schedules

  • Day 1: Millstreet – Kanturk : 57 KM
  • Day 2: Kanturk – Taur : 57 KM
  • Day 3: Taur – Millstreet : 73 KM

Blackwater Trail Cycle Route

The Blackwater Valley Cycle Route passes through the Duhallow Region beginning in Youghal and ending in Killarney taking in the beauty of the famous Blackwater River Valley. You can join the route anywhere. The route is divided into sections encompassing a four day journey and the following are the suggested cycling schedules:

  • Day 1: Youghal – Fermoy : 43 KM
  • Day 2: Fermoy – Kanturk : 54 KM
  • Day 3: Kanturk – Millstreet : 21 KM
  • Day 4: Millstreet – Killarney (via Rathmore) : 38 KM
