Duhallow has a strong and ancient tradition in horses

Duhallow has a strong and ancient tradition in horses. Cross country trails and hunting are hallmarks of this equestrian retreat. The Duhallow Hunt is one of the oldest and best renowned hunts in Ireland, a tradition which has been carried down through the ages.

Green Glens Arena, Millstreet

Duhallow is host to international horse shows each year which are held in the magnificent Green Glens Equestrian Centre in Millstreet. While the arena’s primary role is hosting equestrian events, the arena is most famous for hosting the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993 and the World Boxing Championship fight between Steve Collins and Chris Eubank in 1995. The centre hosts many international and musical concert events each year and offers an enclosed menage, cross country riding, hacking and riding instruction and residential weekends. Each year the arena hosts the Millstreet International Horseshow, which attracts competitors from all over Ireland and the world.
